How Grade 6 Students Built Their First Websites

This academic year, we introduced a new initiative for students in Grade 6: giving each of them their very own personal website. The goal was simple — to provide every child with a digital space to showcase their talents, interests, and learning.

Students used a beginner-friendly website builder to create their pages. Some uploaded their drawings, others wrote short blogs about school life, and a few even embedded videos of their science experiments.

The process taught students not just how to build a site, but also how to organize content, express ideas creatively, and be responsible digital citizens.

"It was exciting to show my website to my parents. They were so proud," said Janani, a Grade 6 student.

We believe this early exposure to digital creation is more than just a tech skill — it builds confidence, ownership, and creativity.
