Why Every Student Needs a Digital Portfolio

In an age where digital presence matters, Kalvi Schools have taken a bold step forward by giving every student — starting from Grade 6 — a personal portfolio website.

These websites are not just placeholders. They are living, growing spaces where students can upload projects, write blogs, showcase achievements, and even try out coding. The initiative encourages students to take ownership of their learning and document their progress in a meaningful way.

Teachers are also integrating portfolios into the classroom. Students might submit a science project with a photo gallery, or write a reflection blog after a school field trip. Parents love seeing their child’s growth online in real time.

"I used my website to share my chess wins and art projects. It's like my online scrapbook," says Arul Prakash, Grade 10.

Digital portfolios teach students to curate content, manage identity, and prepare for a world where showcasing your work online is part of success. With safe hosting under Kalvi domains, students enjoy a secure space with guidance from mentors.

This year, we aim to onboard all students across all Kalvi campuses into the portfolio program — setting a strong foundation for future-ready learners.
